Our program activities at cater to social, group, and individual needs, educational, recreational, and health activities, as well as basic medical services, such as blood pressure monitoring. Our participants will have the opportunity to socialize, enjoy peer support, and receive monitoring of their physical and mental health in our adult day care center in Bennettsville, SC.
To assist with the monitoring of participants’ health conditions, (direct care), a licensed nurse, certified nursing assistants, health care aides, and an activity coordinator will be on site. Each participant has an individualized care plan to enable the activity coordinator to tailor activities and fulfill personal care needs. Our staff supervises and/or assists with medications taken during ADC hours (medication management). Transportation to and from the center is available based on assessed needs.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE AND MANAGEMENT
The Administrator of Nora’s Caring Companions ADC is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the day care activities, approving all operating budgets and allocating resources. There are four staff members in the program each day and two on field trips. One staff person is required for every eight participants. All clinical staff are certified in CPR and First Aid prior to hire and during the orientation process. Trained volunteers are also an important part of Nora’s Caring Companions ADC, providing additional social and emotional support.
Staff meet regularly to discuss the service needs of participants.
The administrator and designee communicate with the primary caregivers to discuss changes in behaviors, health, or performance, which prompts adjustments to the care plan. Family/Caregivers are notified of any significant changes in their loved one’s condition.
